Asia Cup Polo International Day

The Asia Cup Polo International Day celebrated its 20th event at the Royal Berkshire Polo Club in 2021. The event enjoys Royal Patronage from the Jaipur Royal family who have played in the International matches in England and India.

We were excited to be introduced to Neil at SEN Group, the main sponsor of the event, and to talk about the prospect of helping him to look after the Yearbook of this prestigious event, as Neil explains, “I was introduced to Rik a few months prior to our annual Asia Cup Polo International Day. Normally we design the yearbook in-house but with the COVID restrictions meaning we had little time to prepare it made sense to outsource this – however one is always a little nervous at letting someone else take care of your programme.”

Alway a daunting process of handing over the reigns of an internally designed 48pp booklet and we were keen to help and advise. Neil continues, “My concerns were completely unfounded as Rik was excellent from day one… he understood what we were trying to achieve and communication was great and prompt which I think is crucial.”

We quickly got to work as time was of the essence and designed a flat plan and initial look and feel designs and then Neil was ready to push the button and the content just rolled and working with the brand and the look and feel designs we developed all the key areas for client approval, adverts as needed for external client review and approval. “From giving just text and a bit of background Rik’s creativity and turnaround was exceptional and I think made a big difference to the look and feel of our yearbook whilst retaining the key elements.”

The finished designs, were artwork and imposed ready for printing and the final printed versions were very well received in this extremely popular event at Windsor Racecourse. Happy to leave the last work word to Neil…
