Welcoming Elite Magazine to the fold

Back in May 2018 a chance meeting with Ian Goldsworthy of Elite Magazine with Rik was the start of a long partnership between Elite Magazine and the design agency essex, Creative Fabrik.
From May 2018, Issue 175, the team at Creative Fabrik took over the Design and Production of the magazine. The first issue was a total restart using an existing design but no artwork, a mad couple of weeks ensued as Rik and the team completely rebuilt all the original files of the magazine from editorial and advertising.
Over the issues our relationship with Ian and the team at Elite has grown and when the time was right to look at an online presence for the magazine, Rik and the team designed and developed a simple, clean and easy to use website that allowed the team at Elite to manage all the content on the website themselves with some graphical help from the team at Creative Fabrik.
Ian and the team managed the sales, editorial, print and publishing of the magazine and Creative Fabrik managed the design and print ready artwork… it was a partnership that allowed the magazine to grow its advertisers and grow within the CO Postcode that it is delivered too.
COVID-19 has changed so much for so many people and in March 2020 the magazine was suspended due to the Global pandemic. Since December 2019 Ian had been thinking about his retirement and this was seen by Ian and Sonia as the right time to take that retirement option.
Discussion ensued with Rik and in April 2020 in the middle of Lockdown the deal was done for Creative Fabrik to take over the Publishing of the Elite magazine.
Creative Fabrik owner Rik James said, “With such a loyal following from advertisers, readers, editorial team and our fantastic delivery team as well as our third party suppliers like our printers we just couldn’t let the magazine stop after Ians’ retirement and with him on board still to help us when we needed, the team and I wanted to continue his legacy.
“COVID-19 stopped the Publication of the magazine for 5 months and we have been overjoyed with the feedback we have had since our return to our readers in the CO Postcode area and we thank our valued advertisers and readers for that.”
We have just Published Issue 200, a 17 year legacy of the magazine and you can have a look at the new issue on the website: https://elitemagazine.co.uk/magazine
Rik and the team at the design agency essex are excited at the opportunity that lies with a printed magazine and look forward to rolling out our new plans for the growth of the magazine.
